Recording activities on Risnjak and Radensko Field
One of the many activities carried out by the Public Institution within the Interreg V-A ‘Vezi narave/Veze prirode’ project is a creation of multimedia material, which includes the production of photo and video materials with an overview of activities regarding demonstration measures carried out in nature to support biodiversity, showing the status of the target species in the cross-border area, educational programs for biodiversity conservation, goals, effects and results, public awareness events on biodiversity conservation, workshops and similar. After filming the Sutla River and fish and shellfish research in the Sutla River in June, we continued to record other project areas during July and August. So we carried out filming and photographing the Risnjak National Park and the Kupa River, as well as cleaning activities of the Kupa River spring, where divers had a very difficult task: to dive in water at a temperature of 7 °, to lift logs using a parachute for cargo lifting under water, pull the trunks ashore with the help of cables and cranes and finally saw and arrange them.
The filming was also carried out at the Radensko Polje Nature Park in the Municipality of Grosuplje in Slovenia. Radensko Polje is a picturesque karst field located southeast of Grosuplje, a cultural and natural rich area, through which flow three rivers: Zelenka, Šica and Dobravka, which flow underground into the sources of the Krka River. Through the project, the park will establish sustainable structures for the conservation of butterflies, amphibians and their habitats and the Šica Nature Conservation Center, which will be one of the points of knowledge centers for ecosystem services both for local and general public.
